Water can help you lose weight if you know how to do it. This would probably be the easiest way to help you reduce your food intake and lessen the number of times you eat in a day. If you drink lots of water before a meal, you will tend to be full when eating and you will end up eating less than the usual amount of food you take in. If you drink lots of water throughout the day, it will suppress your appetite and makes you feel full, thus you will not think about eating always. This is only an aid in losing weight. Exercise is still the best way but aiding it with other matters will be better. This is especially for people who want to lose weight but can't seem to stop themselves from eating. This is a very easy trick and with no expense at all. Aside from losing weight, water also gives a lot of health benefits to our bodies. Hope you'll give this a try.

Water is the best thing to speed up your metabolism as well and like you said it helps prevent your hunger from getting out of control. It is good as well after you are finishing exercising. Water is the best thing for a diet and for someone not dieting. It is better and healthier than any beverage or food item out there.

Yes, I agree that water helps one to lose weight. Drinking water is one of the best healing factors we can get from nature, without water, a human cannot survive for more than 3 days. I am currently trying to lose weight by drinking lots of water daily, I can drink up to 3 litre per day. Its easy, 500ml once I wake up in the morning, along the day, I will drink an additional 2 litre here and there. In the evening, I will return back to 500ml, fill my bottle, and wait for the next morning before repeating the same process. Drinking more water not only helps us become full, it helps us get rid of toxins in our body by allowing us to urinate excessively throughout the day. Only clear urine are considered clean, and less acidic. Besides that, when we pass motion, we would not suffer constipation like many non-water drinker does. Hence, water is an important source for health benefits. There are qualities of water too, they come in small molecues, calcium based natural water, minerals water, boiled water, and many other more. Lets talk about it in the next session.

I used to drink alot of sweet tea and soda but now I drink mostly water. Once in a great while I'll have a soda but very rarely. I keep plastic bottles in the fridge and keep them filled with water that way I always have cold water. AT PEACE WITHIN

That's nice, a good advise thanks for reminding us. I've been doing this for long and it has work for me. I do try to keep fit by spending atleast an hour everyday walking as my daily exercise. I can personally attest to this so fellow myLotters, give it a try. :-)

Oh wow! A truly important point made here by the discussion starter. Personally, I never thought on these lines. To a stranger it might sound a bit weird as to how one can lose weight by drinking water. Had this been true, every living thing would perpetually lose weight as each of us has a huge intake of water everyday. Coming onto the point which you've made, drinking water is advised only before a meal or after it. Utmost care should be taken to avoid water intake whilst eating unless food gets stuck in the windpipe or the food pipe itself. Talking about my own water intake, I drink lots and lots of water, something close to 15 full glasses a day. But then I have to suffer as well ,as constant excretion of urine has to be managed...lol At the end of the day, exercises still rule water in my opinion!!
