When attending a party, function or gathering, which would you prefers to say "I am married" or "I am still single"?

oh this is so simple except one is a playboy, if i love my partner i'll not deny being married for what reason will that benefit me if i'm married and would tell my friends i'm single? that'll potray my feel for my partner and my friends who may know i'm married, what'll they say about me?

I tell people that I am engaged to be married. My boyfriend proposed, and now we are engaged. We are still in the process of planning our wedding, but we have already committed ourselves to eachother, and I am wearing a diamond ring that he gave me.

I would say I am happily unmarried. So don't mess my already happy life.
