- all shrimps are born female, but turns to male as time goes. so are they like, gayish?
- starfishes are pretty but they dont have brains, so be offended is someone calls you one.
- penguins can only have one mate, they spend almost half of their lives looking for their destined partner, then spend the rest of it with him/her. how sweet is that!?

That is pretty interesting. You know I've never though of shrimp and male or female... just as yummy, lol. Maybe I'm a starfish? I hope not. Penguins are like people, how cute.

Even the mention of those beautiful penguins make my heart bleed for them----this is the effect of the Oscar winning documentary about the Emperor Penguin.And I found nothing about them amusing--all that comes to my mind is their difficult life where I saw them shivering and huddled together the poor little things!

Yeah, I saw that documentary too.
For me, I guess that 'shivering' and 'huddling' together act is likened to the sacrifices we have in our lives where we really had to 'fight it out'. Those are the penguin's version.
I find it really cute and makes my heart warm because they really are patient to search for their mate. Plus shows how they are alike with us in so many ways. Plus the sacrifice they have to hatch a single egg. Even fathers really take care of their children, now that's really amazing.
If only more people are like penguins, then maybe we could all huddle in times of trouble rather than be alone.
