Selling my music.

I'm a singer/songwriter and am sick of trying to sell my music, which i have paid to record myself, on the internet only for people to want some money for allowing me to sell it through them and not only that they want the biggest slice of the pie. So i decided enough was enough and started my own website where i could sell my music without somebody else taking a piece. Then i thought it would be a good idea to allow other bands to do the same and not charge them a thing. I also decided that other aritistic types should be allowed to sell their things too. And my website doesnt charge a fee or take any comission on the items sold. It has just started and i only really have 1 fashion designer on there (who is my brother lol) and i havnt put my music on there yet. But i would like to know if there are any people out there who find themselves in a similar situation to me and if so do they think my website is a good idea?
