Opinion needed about men (boys)?

I have dated many boys and men. I was 4 when i had my first boy friend. I have always been popular with the boys and i've had many guy friends. But i still don't understand them. I met a guy online. We spoke briefly a few times and then organised to meet. When we met the other night we really hit off, we have heaps in common, he made me laugh and he definitely seemed interested. Our plans fell through so i let him come to my place (i know what you're thinking; stupid thing to do. My intuition is good and i knew he was harmless), any way he talked all night and didn't leave until 1am! When he left he was looking at me and waiting for me to say something. I said for him to call and he said he would. He leaned over to kiss me and it seemed like he was heading for my lips but i slightly turned my head and gave a peck on the cheek. He knew i was interested though, i never gave the impression that i wasn't. The next day we spoke online briefly but he wasn't very "chatty". He asked me what i thought of him and i said i like him, and he said he liked me. That was pretty much it. He said he will give me a call on the week-end. I haven't heard from him since, no email, sms or call. If he is interested wouldn't i have heard from him by now? And wouldn't he have talked to me more when we were online? Why did he seem so interested when we met but then not very "eager" the next few days? HELP!
