Idealistic attitude: Bad or good

Idealistic: that one who places ideals before practical considerations. That how webster explains the word and that is one of my attitudes. Can you gave me example when this attitude is not good anymore to test myself. Thanks in advance.

It is bad when you tend to deviate from what is reality and conform with what you think as ideal.
