what do the newly married couple do first in your country.

In India they enter husband's house first as it is a practice in India that girl should live in husband's house. While entering, she will push a rice bowl in the entrance which is symbolic that she will bring prosperity to that house so that food grains will be abundantly available in that house everywhere.
