I am not in habit of it and actually I don't have so much time to wear and then cook. What do you think, is it essential when you are at home. I am sure you must not be wearing such expensive clothes when you are relaxing at home,so what's the need?

Yes wearing an apron while cooking is an absolute must for me as I am very particular about my clothes even though they may not be expensive ones and moreover you are comfortable with an apron as you can lean, rest etc towards the platform of the kitchen etc........

I'm trying to get in the habit of wearing an apron when I cook, after ruining a favorite shirt with grease that just won't come out. Aprons are a lot cheaper to replace (easy to make from scrap material) than shirts.

I am also not in the habit of wearing an apron. I am normally dressed in T shirt and shorts while cooking so there is no need to wear an apron unless I am wearing something that I do not wish to dirty.

I own a couple of aprons but they have been packed away now for so long I probably wouldn't be able to find them. I am a messy cook so I should wear one and I used to, but the hardware fixtures on my kitchen draws were getting caught on them and it drove me nuts. I stopped wearing them when we moved into this house and that was over ten years ago.

I don't have this habit. I wear normal home wear clothing while I'm cooking. After cook, I will shower.

Actually I never wear a apron, i know one should, its one of the ways to maintain hygiene and not spoil your clothes (old or new) while cooking, but somehow my mom didn't wear one and that same habit passed on to me. Its not that i don't want to wear one, just that i forget, never strikes me to put on an apron and start cooking.

I only wear it when I am worried that the clothes I am wearing will get dirty. I find wearing aprons bothersome most of the time so will not waer one unless I have to.
