How did you come up with your username in Mylot?

My name was actually an alias of one of my dearest friends. This friend of mine and I, during our college days decided to come up with names that would describe ourselves , have a personal meaning,or something that we like. Mine has my favorite color in it and how i see myself. You might ask, how come i am using my friend's alias? Well, it started when i was creating a username in the net(not this one though). I repeatedly tried to get a username with my own alias but kept getting either an error message or notification that the name is being used already ..I've tried so many times, that eventually, out of desperation, i just typed "swendellshayne" and voila! It was accepted and i got so used to typing/using this name that it just came naturally when i started my lot here. Well of course, my friend knows about this and being the true friend that she is just laughed at it. I just hope that she'll find some way to use my alias also. So now, i'm using the name of one of my most favorite persons. Whew! So how about you?

It was an entire lifestyle change beginning with a dashboard confession while listening to a DC Talk CD on my way to work one day. I dove into the Left Behind series of books as a way to give me something to do while I was home at night. I started the Atkins diet and began working out and running everyday. As time went on, I found that I loved God and running more than I loved drinking. I have been living a sober life ever since.

My user name is a nickname I have had for years minus the 1234, lol....My family always called me kitty, my brother when he was little used to walk around looking for kitty and I would answer so it stuck....no one calls me kitty anymore but I use it on various sites as my name...

My name has been stuck to me since I was seventeen. I am twenty six now so that juvenile nickname has been stuck on me. See, I used to be a fan of sarah michelle gellar, well, still am crazy about her sometimes, anyway, she had this show, Buffy the vampire slayer. Hence the Vamp in my nick. As for poet, she used to be my muse for my writings and even sent one of my poems to her fan club and received an autographed photograph of her. Hence the Poet in my nick. Join them together you get vampoet!:p

Nice! My kids(my eldest especially) and I used to watch also Buffy but the show was being aired rather late already that we were not able to follow the series. But the fascination with vampires and slayers remains. God bless and continue writing poems as being able to do such is a gift.

I think it's actually nice. =) I just had trouble at first, in determining whether you're a girl or a boy. I know several persons named jesse but you're the only (& the first)jessem i know. God bless!

Well I love the sun, I spend quit a bit of time in it, so my body is pretty dark and tan, therefore I say it is sunkissed!!

Mine is pretty self explanatory as I have a bunch of tattoos over my body. I used to use a different username online for everything which was the last name of one of my favorite soccer players but after he left my team I decided it was time for a change. I always have a difficult time remembering my usernames and passwords and I figured even I couldn't forget this one...LOL

I love to write novels with a bit of suspense. I have started several, but am working on one right now. I decided to use the name suspenseful to emphasize it and to have a mysterious lady busybody much like Miss Marple of Agatha Christie invention. I shows I am a bit of a snoop.

cefaz is an apostle's name, it is actually peter which also means rock, and my closest friends call me rocks,so that's it, but it is also my husband's username on other net.I prefer to use it since it's both connected with us.

I wanted a username which was short, simple and didn't gave any hints about my name or date of birth. So I chose one which has two meanings, Some Income and So Me In Come:)

Well, I've had my share of really corny usernames before. But this one I started to use in all things about two years ago. I love alternative/rock music and my brother calls me a "rocker" because of the way I dress sometimes. So I used that. And I absolutely love Harry Potter so there, I'm a witch. I just put it together. Lol! It's kinda silly but oh well! It's a bit better than the ones I came up with when I was younger!

Oh about 100 years ago when the internet was first invented, I had a website called compumom. I thought it was appropriate because I was attempting to earn an income on the computer and my children were small so the combination of the two was compumom.

my user name is one that i've used for years with about everything i sign up for. i created it in highschool, so i guess thats why it kind of translates to "black sky" lol. I don't even remember why i picked that name i've had it so long. i just never decided to change it.

I think this is an interesting discussion. I posted a discussion how did you come up with your Avatar but I didn't get many responses. I think it is interesting to find out about others.
I came up with my name as I live in the Country. We used to live on a farm and my father in law had lots of milk cows. So I came up with UDDERONES - for otherones, I thought it was cute. We have a side business doing karaoke and I always thought the name UDDERONES Karaoke would have been neat, but we went with something else. I thought we could put on our business cards "Better than all the UDDERS" and make the card black and white. But my husband didn't go with that idea. LOL

Well, I came up with this screen name when I was making a new yahoo screen name. I had just got married at the time and was so happy and proud of being a married woman and a mommy... so i just went with Mrs_Lidwell. I wanted a way to show everyone that I was married and happy about it... and a way to ward off all the pervs on the net! So I just made it my screen name for just about everything! So if you go to another site and see Mrs_Lidwell a member there (which I am a member of quite a few different things on the net lol) it is most likely me!
