Hi Matte - pleased to meet you! About me - well, I'm Rose, I'm from London, I was 50 two months ago (though I try and forget it - LOL!). I have a degree in English Literature and now work as a Social Worker dealing with refugees and Asylum Seekers in the UK. My Mother was from Belarussia, and I am very proud of my Russian roots and heritage. I live with my partner who is originally from Argentina, and my hobbies are theatre, tennis, travelling, and animals. We have 5 cats and I am also vegetarian and do voluntary work for animal charities. Btw - I love Sweden, and will be vsiting Stockholm again in October for my partner's birthday.

Hello Matte, nice to meet you! Fellow Swede here... I'm a 22 year old girl living just outside of Stockholm with my fianceé and our two pet mice. I'm currently working in a combined café and bakery, but just like you I'm educated as a chef and have been working at a couple of restaurants. In my spare time I knit, make jewelry and draw. Good morning Matte5, What a nice introduction! In reply; I am a married 43 year young gal, who calls the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains my home in the USA. I'm not originally from this part of the country, I moved out here nearly 20 years ago, and we (Hubby & I) love it. The rest of our family lives in the Northeast, so we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. But hey, there's always the telephone & the internet. We live in a very rural area, with our five dogs, fish and chickens. My hobbies are: learning all manner of new things, gardening, and also photography. I absolutely love digital cameras! They make taking pictures of our garden, and our mountain views a real breeze. So, it's very nice to make your acquaintance Matte5. Hi Iam Donna,Iam a partialy handicapped christian widow.Iam 46 years old and live in a suburb in the south east.I have 2 adult sons,1 10 year old daughter,1 adult step daughter who lives in the south.I also have an infant grandaughter and 2 step grandchildren.My favorite hobby is genealogy and I love being online.I also read,watch tv and movies,go to church and church events,go to pow wow's and do crafts.I have other hobby's also.I have never been to Sweden or even out of the states for that matter.

Hi Matte, My name is Robin And I live in a city in the lower mainland in British Columbia Canada. It is a very beautiful area and I do love it here. I live on my own and love it that way. I was a cook for 28 years and have worked in every thing from neighbor hood cafés, to mining camps where I was in charge of a shift we on average fed 350 miners late supper after they got off shift and the others that were leaving to go on shift. I have as well owned my own restaurants and still love to cook to this day. it is one of the few places that you get instant gratification. While I was apprenticing we had French, German. Canadian Chefs. and some were brilliant. but as you are well aware of you study and apprentice for years and years and the money is not all that good. The same amount of time I spent apprenticing (4) years when I had my papers I was still offered minimum wage the same salary as the pot washer. It was only because I loved the work that I continued to cook. I am no longer able to work but I still enjoy cooking.

I have never been out of the United States. My grandma's family is from Norway, so she can speak Sweedish. I would love to go to Sweden and Norway someday. I am married to a great guy. I have been with him for 17 years. I have a 16 year son and two step daughters ages 21 and 24. I also have two step grandchildern ages 2 and 6. I love being a grandma. I also love photography.

Hi! I'm a 23 year old female and I live in the United States in the state of North Carolina. I live close to our mountain range and it's just beautiful in Autumn. I'm married to my long-time sweetie and we have been married for almost 4 years, but we've been together for almost 10 years. We don't have children yet, but we are hoping for some soon. We have a dog and a turtle...they currently serve as our 'babies'.:P We are building our first home and it is absolutley nerve racking. It will all be worth it when it's finished. I am currently a preschool teacher and I have been a hair stylist. My husband is in construction and he is actually the one building our house, along with his dad's crew. I am studying to be a children's writer. It's my biggest passion right now.:)

Hi Matte, I was born in Barstow, California. I am 45 years old. I have a daughter and a son. I have two grandsons. My husband and I live in Pennsylvania. I like to crochet, read, and use the internet. I have 2 dogs. My son still lives with us and I see my daughter all the time. I love spending time with my grandsons. My daughter is always taking pictures. She is actually quite good at it. I have never been out of the United States. Sweden sounds like a beautiful place.

I'm a 31 yr old woman. Born and raised in America. I've lived all over the country, mostly in coastal areas. I have a 5 year old son who is Autistic along with 2 cats and 1 dog. Right now I do what I can to make a living online, but once my son starts kindergarden I'll be looking for a part time job. I'm a die-hard hockey fan (Hey Matte, one of my favorite players is from your country). I love to cook, and I'm in the process of writing a cook book.
