Movie Extras

Have you ever worked as an "extra" in a movie? They're always looking for people. They advertise that they need all looks and types. They will compensate you $100-$300 a day. So they say.
I've never been an extra in a movie. Have you? Please comment.

No, but my Dad's car has been in a bunch of movies. I think that is pretty cool when I watch one and go "Hey there goes Mr. Ugly" (the is what the car was dubbed).
I wish I could get into being an extra. I would love to do that.

I never worked as one, but my nephew in law did. He was an extra in Rocky iV. He was to play one of the audiences in Russia cheering the Russian contender. However I heard his scene got deleted. There was a TV movie where he played an ordinary working class man, but I do not know if that scene is still in.

I had a girlfriend that use to do movie extras all the time she use to travel to NY back to NJ. She actually made pretty good money. I just because she didn't just sign up for one she did several companies that if she seen it in the paper or whatever shes calling and researching.
But if you are considering it I wish you the best.
