What's your favorite science fiction movie?

I like movies whose themes operate on the realm of scientific possibilities to some extent..like endtimes/nature (The day after tomorrow, armageddon etc.), and animals/insects (jurassic park, godzilla, deep blue sea, eight-legged freaks etc).
The special effects were awesome! what's yours?

Well Armageddon is a great movie, but my favourite Science fiction movie has to be Contact or Independens day.
I love both of them mostly brcause of thre fun or great lines in them.
Independens day: Will Smith with ciggar in his mouth "Now thats what I call a close incounter" and Rusell "AS my generation would say; UP OURS!"
Contact:Kids to the main chara "Do you belive in aliens?" Main chara to the kids " I think that if we would be the only inteligent live in the universe, that would be a vast of space"
The last one I can't remember the exact words but it's almost like that :D I just love thos comments :D

I like armageddon too!
It's like everything was blowing up every now and then...massive bombings!
Will smith's very cool!
Just wondering why all aliens in alien movies look kinda the same? With tentacles and everything? haha.

its Jurassic Park..I saw it when I was a child..and I really went crazy about it..I started collecting stuffs related to dinosaurs...And had a good deal of knowledge about them..

i love jurassic park 1-3! The visual effects were awesome! Someday I'd like to know how they do those stuff...looks very real! And i used to read about dinosaurs too...when i was in high school. great stuff!
Hey is it true that dinosaurs resembles birds structures more than reptiles? they say it's in their skeleton. i've always thought they're reptiles.

I love the themes you mentioned, as well as the whole "bio-weapon accident/disaster" type (28 Days Later, Warning Sign, Resident Evil, etc). I liked all the movies you mentioned, except for Eight-legged Freaks (never saw it).
I also really liked Event Horizon and Sphere.
