Would you shriek when you spot a huge cockroach?

We all use killer-spray to kill any pests crawling about the wall, floor, bath. But initially how do you react at spotting a huge fiery-looking cockroach or any household pests on your floor? You probably would shriek,"EEEEk" "Crikey" "Oh my God!" "Save my Soul" "Wow" before you could reach for the can of killer-spray.Would you?
Or should we let it go out of compassion?

Well as soon as I spot a giant cockroach I don't really say anything, I either get a shoe and a can of bug spray and spray it constantly while beating it with my shoe and yelling "die cockroack, die!"... or I just get a cup and a piece of paper and try to catch it to put it outside. Depends on how I'm feeling that day haha. Although for some reason I usually seem to spot cockroaches just before I want to go to bed and relax, but if it's crawling around my room I can't relax until I get rid of it in one way or another, I have to 'search and destroy'.

Why yes, yes I am *grins* But I always do try to catch the cockroach rather then kill it, I do feel bad afterwards for hurting it.

Well I would kill it because the things carrying so many germs. However I would not be one to scream, bugs don't really freak me out, especially roaches. When I was a kid, they were are pets, LOL.

Step on them, smack them (then wash my hands), hit them with a shoe. I wouldn't use spray as the other poster pointed out, don't want to kill us, in the process of killing a bug.

Actually, cockroaches just get "smushed" unless they are where I can not reach them with a shoe or a flyswatter. I use the spray as little as possible; so I won't be poisoning ourselves and our pets.
The only thing that gets a BIG reaction out of me are tarantulas! House spiders are bad enough; but, every now and then a tarantula will get in the house. I usually scream and then yell for help while keeping an eye on it so it won't escape and hide somewhere. (I should also explain that I am allergic to spider bites - a tiny house spider will make me sick for 3 - 5 days if it bites me; so a tarantula bite would probably be deadly.)

When I was in Morocco, I seen a roach that was about 4 inches long. It freaked me out. I made my brother-in-law go kill it. In fact, I ran out of the bathroom. I'm normally not like that with bugs but it was huge. The rest of the trip I made sure my luggage was sealed so I didn't bring any trespassers home with me.

In my previous apartment, there’s this cockroach that always come in and out from somewhere and it took me sometime to get rid of it because whenever I see it I don’t know what to do – if I were to run or go kill it haha.. I’m really afraid of those kinds of creatures. One time I ran straight to my bed because I came near to my feet that I almost touch it and I got shocked and I in fact trembled haha..

We don;t get cockroached in out house, thankfully. We do get some pretty big house-spiders but they don't bother me. I will catch it if possible and put it outside. If it runs under heavy furniture or something i just leave it. It will eat any flies or other small bugs and stop them annoying me!
I don't like moths though, they are terrible at flying and fly right into you! I was at the doorway smoking one night and a moth as big as a small bird came right at me (attracted to the light) I nearly made a mess in my pants at that one!

I will definitely shriek and say something like "arrghh!!". Lol. I hate to kill insects because I am disgusted by them. Usually I just let them pass by. However if I have to deal with it I will take my slippers and give it a hard knock with the base of my slippers.

I will never be shrieking just for a cockroach or any insect for that matter as I am already got used seeing cockroach here in my place. Instead, I will find a way to kill it by any means. Sad to say, these cockroaches also learned to evade us. And they grow fast and reproduces like lightning huh! I really could not understand the purpose of the creation for these cockroaches. I am sure there must be one or they will not be here among us.
Our native chickens love to run after these bugs and eat them. Maybe it's a great source of protein for them. It is said that once nuclear weapons will be unleashed during a great war, only cockroaches will survive. I think they based it on the experiences during the Hiroshima atomic bombing where cockroaches were seen to survive on the ground after the attack.

I usually kill them instantly by stepping on them with my slippers/shoes.. *SPLAT!.. because the worst thing to happen is when they start to fly.. it's scary.

Initially, when I spot a cockroach, I immediately try to step on it. I'm not afraid of it so all I have to do is to just get rid of it.
