Dear myLotters,I have heard a lot about people being successful in selling products and services in the internet and I really wanted to do just the same. I have a variety of products that I wanted to sell in the net but I do not know how I will get it really moving and the best route to take with the least cost because I do not have much money to start with. I have already made a website before to advertise my products but I still am not making any money. Please advice me on what could be the best course of action to take. Your suggestions will all be highly regarded and appreciated.

depends on what you are selling, is it affiliate merchandise or your own stuff?

heck, i would put that stuff on ebay, maybe make an ebay store, then you can develop your site and link to it, after you get the loyal customers it should be self sufficient

Hi mortfinkle! I would love to put my stuff on ebay because i know that there is a wide range of market there for my stuffs. The thing is, we don't have paypal here in the Philippines. Most ebayers prefer paypal than western union or bank transfer which we have here. You know what? If ever i would be going to have a paypal account i would register right away at eaby and the first thing i would be going to sell are my husband's vintage mint on card Starwars collection plus tons of other vintage stuffs that are all collectibles and in mint condition. lol, maybe i could put that up in my next discussion topic.

I have seen many people speaking on ebay.. shopping on ebay.. product marketing.. and shipping of goods.. Hmm.. till this day.. my mind is fresh.. and has no idea about these things.. Everything seems to be Greek and Latin for me..
But just as you said.. i have lot of products that can be marketed..and the strategies i lack. Probably i may learn sometime in future.
Happy mylotting..and Enjoy Peace Within..

Hey there Faith210, I cannot help you on getting your online store started but I do know a site that you could sell your homemade goods it is a site that you will probably like and you don't really have to have a paypal account for it either. here is the link to the site I hope that you will find it of great use. I love making things and crocheting and this is the best site I have found to sell the things I make.
http://www.etsy.com/
Please check this link out give it a chance and you might make some money from it. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Well good luck.

Has anyone mentioned cafepress yet? www.cafepress.com - if you write there is a place to self publish too. If someone mentioned these sorry - I tend to answer the questions and then scroll down other answers.

Hi williamjisir! Yes, I do have my products already and my web site is also ready. I just have to wait for my sister in law for her to apply a paypal account because I wish to sell and join ebay. We don't have paypal here in our country that is why I have to wait for my sister in law. Thanks for wishing me luck. Have a nice day and take care.

Hi youless! I will try adding my website again to some search engines. Guess, i have to try and try again until i get the keywords right. Unfortunately, at the moment i could not selll my stufffs at ebay because we don't have a paypal here yet, and most ebayers trust only paypal as a mode of payment. Nevertheless, the goood news is that the people behind paypal are on the planning stage to put up one here and i hope they will do it soon. With Taobao, it's the first time i have heard about it. I hope it's not a Filipino word because in the Philippines, that means bad smelling person. lol! anyway, i'lll search on it. really appreciate your suggestion.

I do not know how much it is feasible but something you can do---like you canmake some business contract with somebody who has ebay settings from another Country, sell your stuff through that person and give him a portion of your profit, like 8-10% as that person does not has to spend any money, will be glad to do the work. But it must be trustworthy otherwise will be mess. I dont know if it is practical at all. I like to sell on ebay as it gives a real big market to us so ebay is better than own online store.
