I definitely don't plan on watching it. I hate live action movies with talking animals, it always looks unnatural. Besides that, I also hate seeing animals in clothes. I don't remember the Underdog cartoon, actually, but as demonstrated by the live action film Garfield (and the upcoming live action film of The Chipmunks), old cartoons featuring animals are just not meant to be transformed into live action films.

I couldn't agree with you more. I am old enough to remember the original UnderDog and this new film only makes me want to see if the original is on DVD.

I am not in a hurry to run to the theatre and see it, but I have seen the preview and I think it looks kind of fun. I've seen more movies lately than I usually do, more because it's a good activity to do with my son when it's too hot to be hanging out outside than because of a strong desire to see the individual movies. If I am looking to go with him again, I would consider this one. Or I might wait for video.

I just saw a preview for the movie tonight on the television. It isn't what I was expecting. I may watch it, just because my kids like those type of movies (Can't tell you how many times we've seen Cats N Dogs)
I know in the real Underdog sense, it just won't be up to standard. There weren't "real" people in the underdog cartoons and dogs didn't walk on all 4's.
Here's a link to a preview of the Underdog movie.

I used to the love that cartoon when I was growing up. The movie looks awful. It's being marketed to kids, but from what I've seen and heard it's comedy is more aimed at nostolgic adults; who if they are anything like me, are not interesting in seeing a beloved childhood memory get butchered.
