I have this aroana as my pet and Ive been cleaning its aquarium about only 5 times a year. I think its healthy for the fish. Good bacteria developed in a certain time to make the water balance and surprisingly clear. I have to keep it at a pH level . So my pet swims smoothly. No irritation or whatever harm it may do if we clean the aquarium more often.
