Summer time

So far this summer we have gone on a couple of mini-vacations- Niagara Falls for 3 days- that was alot of fun- relaxing-- we went to the Canadian side and did the Maid on the Mist, jounrey through the falls- the giant skywheel- 175 ft ferris wheel looking at the falls! and the butterfly conservatory- We went camping two times- we have gone to the amusement park twice- we are still planning on taking a trip to the beach- Virginia about 8 hours away- So lots more to do this summer- but it has been alot of fun so far!

Our summer has been fairly dull. We started it after a fire took everything we owned. Since then it has been churches and the clothing bank and working to regain our lives. We missed the Ice Cream Festival and the fire works and the demolition derby. We have bought ice cream from the truck that comes around the neighborhood. We have bought another used car, tried to get rid of the van that no longer runs and spent even more money fixing my van. Our summer has been ok, dry and at times too hot. I am glad that life is good for you and yours. Hope we can have that next summer.

We haven't done a whole lot this summer, because it really hasn't been a great summer for us. We have swam in our pool quite a bit because its been so freaking hot. And we did have a yard sale and plan to have another one before the summer is over. Hoping we can go camping here soon and take a weekend somewhere as well. But these are hopes, not sure if they'll happen.

Its been too rainy to do much here so far. But we did go to Taste of Dallas last weekend, which was fun. We were planning a vacation for the beginning of next month, but now my husband may have to have back surgery, so we'll just have to wait and see.
