Hi to all my friends!! I am sure you all miss me ha!ha!ha for nearly around 3 months I was busy as ever with my home base work now that I have good and reliable staff I can snatch some hours to posts in my treasure site...
As I watched news yesterday it was a good sign for some that PESO goes stronger yet the question really is does a typical JUAN DELA CRUZ immediately felt in the long run??I am dollar allotee as my husband is a seafarer and also my online home base work is paid in dollars and that worries me as my value of my service goes a little bit low but the prices are still high.. it should be a chain reaction isn't it? PESO is strong and basic commodities should decrease price specially imported stuff because of the forex??Other say our ECONOMY is doing well?? What? did I hear it right?? If our Economy is doing well why does there are a lot of pinoy's are unemployed not that they are not educated or lazy but there are NO work available for them.
To all my fellow pinoy I will really appreciate your intellectual view about this one! lets keep our mind boggling and eyes open to the REAL situation of dear Country!!Miss you all guys!!Thanks for responding in advance!

I think whatever you have mentioned in your discussion, belongs to your area/country...so won't be able to contribute on your subject.

While the US dollar has been weakening for almost a year now, imported goods will become cheaper, however this has a negative effect on local agricultural products, because the producers aren't getting the same for their exports, so to balance their books, the local price usually rises. We have the same increases here in Thailand.

Hi. Nice to have you back in town. lol. I think most commodity prices will remain rather high as long as the global economy is still strong. If A global recession occurs, then many commodities will fall in price from lack of demand. It is possible that a worldwide recession could happen. I can't say when. But it is possible.

The value of money in international scenario may reach high .. but who will control the spiraling up of prices of essential commodities? Economic growth is not always concomitant with personal growth of the commuters . It is quite true in all world economy .

Guess I really haven't come across your name ever since I logged in here, which is about 3 months ago - way back mid or later part of April. But I'm glad to know that there are a lot of Filipinas like me who are registered here in myLot.
Regarding your query, I am also asking myself why prices of commodities are going high, and yet as the national government claims, the peso is getting stronger. Although there are several factors affecting this issue, I believe that it is a general rule of supply, demand and prices. Demand and supplies are at par, I think, but why the rise in price? We were thought in school that this situation requires that price should stay as is or if ever it rise, it should not be recurring. Another thing that I am puzzled is that the gasoline prices have been marked up again, but their supplies were based on a previous purchase, meaning the price should have been on a previous price, too. I guess there are many business owners of petroleum who wants a greater profit for themselves. Oh well, we can't demand them to lower their prices, can we? I believe we ought to strive harder to earn more.
It's a good thing your husband earns in dollars, and better yet, you work home-based. I do envy for this. It's been my dream ever since to own a business, but funds have been low; so until now, I am still an employee in a private institution.
