I had to remove my tooth two days ago, and here it is the third day and I think the pain has increase. It bled for two days. I am trying to work today, but I am feeling like crap. Is this normal? I need the money so I am trying to stick it out. I already took 1 day and half off I can't afford anymore. Anyone ever had a tooth remove how long did it take for you to be back to normal?

I was only sore for 2 days after I had my molar removed. When the shot first wore off that's when the pain was the worst. I had to take my pain killer they had prescribed me that night so I could go to sleep. The next day wasn't as bad. The pain slowly started going away. I just took ibprophen for the little bit of pain I had left and the swelling. The next day I was getting back to normal. If you are still having pain for too much longer I would call your dentist and make sure everything is healing ok.

Call your dentist. There might be an infection or something going on. It doesn't seem as if it should take this long for you to feel better. Was it a wisdom tooth? those can be pretty painful.

i had 4 tooth extractions in my life. so far the longest healing time, when i do not feel any pain, was three days. just take pain killers for this but i advice that if you do not feel any pain then stop taking pain killers.

I just had my tooth pulled 4 days ago..it's not like it's painfull, but when I smile it feels like things are getting stretched back there (two wisdom teeth) and the area is sensitive...am I being paranoid or is this normal?

I guess by now, the pain is already gone. But in my case, I felt pain for more than a couple of days. But then, I was more conscious of the empty space where my extracted molar once was. I inspected it everyday for more than a week. I was also scared of the thought that it won't close. Maybe I was having paranoia. But it sure did close after less than a month.

After extraction, the tooth should stop bleeding within an hour. Try putting ice pack on the painful side, eat cold things only and of course pain relievers. Something is funny. Your pain should have subsided after extraction. So maybe the affected tooth is still there, a nerve exposed in some other tooth and the wrong tooth is pulled out. Its happened to me once. The pain was so severe, one could not pin point the exact tooth at all and all the teeth were hurting. So the nearest tooth was extracted, no help. Again to dentist and only when the affected tooth was removed that pain went. Try going to another doctor. I understand the price constraint. Better to go to a good doctor once and get things done properly.
