Would you wear glasses just to look good?

I have a pair of galsses that i wear sometimes but think that I look better wihtout them so i tend to wear my contacts more often, like when i am at work or out on the town.

eyeglasses are good in protecting eyes especially under the sunny sun's up... it helps prevent building of eye defects. I read it on one blog article thinking i might be short sighted.

I would if I have one. ^__^ just to change my looks sometimes. but I won't buy a pair of glasses just for that. it would be a waste since I don't really need one. but I do wear colored glasses when my eyes are swollen or if I have an eye sore. ^__^

oh noooo .... why would i wear spectacles to look good ??? ha ....people wear glares / goggles to look good . one wears specks becuse they have some defect in their eyesight . i guess , people look really good without spectacles .i you dont want to wear glasses , you can opt for a lens . benny :)

no never i won't give the glasses a chance to sit directly on my nose and that too for fashion purpose.i can't take the weight of the glasses.i suppose i look much better and pretty without glasses. its a different matter that i do wear glasses for myopia.but occasionally as i hate them.rather i prefer contact lenses.they are more comfortable for me.i am forced to wear glasses and i am running away from them.i wonder how people like to wear them as style quotient.it depends more on taste.

thats funny that you say 'to look good', peeps actually wear glasses, because a lot of us who actually have problem with our eye sight prefer contacts, cuz it 'looks better'. funny how people want something they dont have ;) yes, i have bad eye sight, and yes, i wear contacts to go out and glasses when at home... xquisite http://www.xquisite.us

There are people who say that glasses make one look good or smarter but I absolutely don't agree that wearing eyeglasses or spectacles make one smarter. This just proves that one did not take care of his or her eyes well enough to get this deficiency or defect. In fact, I do wear glasses and I started wearing them when I was still in my college years and the optometrist who checked up on me told me that I had astigmatism and advised me to wear corrective eyeglasses. Further, she said that my 20/20 vision will hopefully be regained. True enough, I regained a perfect vision after several months of wearing the glasses. Sad to say, I admit that I was hard-headed and decided to not wear them at all, thinking that my astigmatism was finally cured. As a result, my vision grew more blurred than ever before. If I had perfect eyesight and glasses would really make me look better,I think I still wouldn't wear glasses just for this sole purpose. At present, I am wearing another pair of eyeglasses again which were issued to me by the company healthcare provider and the cost was deducted from my salary. Like you said, contact lenses are prevalent nowadays and some people prefer wearing them over the traditional eyeglasses. Unlike them however, I still go for the eyeglasses because one doctor told me that it is adviseable to have a pair of eyeglasses, even if I will use contact lenses. I find this too expensive for me. Aside from this, I have heard more accidents happened to users of these lenses compared with the eyeglasses. Regarding lasik surgery, I'm not yet open to this option.

Ugh. I used to do this back when i was still a kid. And now im suffering the consequences. I used to wear my mom's high graded eyeglasses because I envy her at that time. I thought people wearing eyeglasses look smart and cool and all that. haha I would always try it on and stare at myself infront of the mirror. haha crazy i know. And now I have poor eyesight just because of that. argh. I really hate it. I am wearing graded eyeglasses and sometimes contact lenses for almost 7 years now, and i am definitely not loving it. The hassle of buying eyeglasses and contact lenses every now and then really is a big headache for me..

I would never ever wear glasses just to look good. In fact one looks much better without glasses. Wearing glasses is a big headache trust me on this. I've been wearing glasses for over 14 years now that is more than the time I'm alive. So you'll understand why i say is horrible. Also many of my friends have told me i look much more better without my glasses and i also agree with them. But can't help it. Have to wear them as my power is quite a bit.
