Do you like to write short storys or poems?

I am just wondering how many people like to write short stories and poetry for fun. When I was younger I used to write them just for fun and than read them. I still have a few that I sometimes read to my son and he enjoys them.. Does anyone eles?

I used to write a few poems in school. But I stopped. But now that I am in love I wrote three songs for my fiance - now my wife!!

How so sweet, I wish my husband would write me some song lol... I think that is so romantic if you ask me. Sure says alot too, your totally in love with her.. That is so good to hear. Not alot of people though write such things for their other half's.. I have to admit I haven't in a long long time but I do love my husband.. Thank you for your reply and have a wonderful day!

I agree, I mean a person can come up with alot of ideas just to write on something. At least I know I can. When people tend to do such things they tend to have to have more idea's than normal and put them together to make something nice. I though try and make something as like a fairy tail and than work from there. These are the kinds of things children like being read to them not to mention them selfs reading.. I started writing poems when I was a teen. I think the last one I wrote was a few years back. I haven't written short stories but I am sure I could. Matter a fact, I was thinking of writing childrens books, but not sure where to start..If you have any ideas, please let me know..
