driving drunk

I hate to say it but I used to drink and drive. I realize how dangerous that was. I no longer drink at all.Thank god. Talk about young and dumb.Some scary situation could of resulted from my stuipness. I think of the people I could of hurt.. Do you drink responsible.

First of all, I commend you on your honesty here. You are very smart. I work next door to a bar and I see it all the time...people leaving and getting in their cars to drive. It scares me and angers me equally. I pray that nothing bad comes of it. Once a car ran into the building...drunk and had just left the bar. The impact knocked over a huge,heavy rack. Luckily no one (me) was standing in front of it or someone(me) could of got killed. I was maybe 3 feet away from it.
Yes, When I have drinks, I never have and never will go near my car.

Yes, we all have made our mistakes, but indeed they make us who were are today. At least you have learned that it was wrong and you're not doing it again. My parents sufferred a bad car accident a few years ago and the drunk driver who hit them was a sore case, he had so many DUI's it's not even funny. The guy had not a scar on his body, meanwhile my parents even had surgery. My dad had to learn how to walk again through physical therapy. I used to go out with my girl friend and then drive messed up. That was a reality check when I nearly lost my parents. I coulnd't believe how selfish I was, because I not only put myself at risk, but others like this guy did to my parents. We are lucky that my parents lived to tell their story. Thanks for sharing, it takes courage.

I think it is great for you to admit that you used to drink and drive. I have seen lots of teenagers drinking and driving. The sad thing is that most of them like to race and drive faster when they are drunk. Lots of accidents are caused by people who are drunk. Only after having the experience of accidents only then people realize how dumb they had been. The problem with the teenagers is that they think that driving faster and driving during drunk really chills them.
