Not the extreme makeover shows. Just the ordinary ones like Look for Less and Ambush Makeover and How Do I Look.
I think they're okay, to boost up the person's self-confidence or something. And at least they look pretty for a day. And it makes them happy.
But I can't help wondering what happens to those people after that one day. I mean, it'll cost a lot to maintain that look and that style. It'll also take a lot of time and energy. Sometimes I find it very superficial. I mean, can that day alter your life? Maybe. I don't know.
What do you think?

I like watching makeover shows on occasion, but I don't do it on a regular basis. It's pretty entertaining to watch though, I must say. I like seeing people get a change and see them get a boost in self-confidence. I like to give myself makeovers, its lots of fun getting all prettied-up once in a while. I agree, though, sometimes the shows are pretty fake. You know the show provide professional people to do hair, makeup, and someone to pick out the clothes so after that day, they go back to how they used to look.

I like watching these shows to see what the new fashion trends are. It just shows me how behind I am in some of the trends lol. Some of the shows can be mean. Like How Do I Look, they can be kind of mean on that show sometimes. And the one on TLC, What Not To Wear. I like watching that show but they can be mean to the makeover victims on that show. And the fact that they give them $5,000 to buy a new wardrobe is nice. But they make them go to these expensive shops in NYC. $5,000 isn't going to buy very much in those shops. I think it would be very hard to maintain a new look if you don't have the money to do so. Like I would love to have something done to my hair to update it but I don't have the money to keep it up.
