anyone knows about the conflict between generations... Teenagers have different opinions, they see things different from most of the grown-up people . What do you suggest in order to diminuate this ?

This is what we call as the generation gap...Truly it is a cause of concern especially for parents...children these days have a totally different set of values, belief systems, styles, fads, fashions which are different from their parents. Often this is the cause of conflicts; as the gap widens, children don't believe their parents anymore..they are more influenced by peers and mass media. As soon as children are able to understand, parents should explain a lot of things to their children...talking and sharing with children is the key...spending quality time together and discover each other's likes and dislikes, thoughts, feelings...this can help narrow down the gap between parents and children. Sometimes parents are so preoccupied with their own careers and work that they sometimes omit that part of spending quality time with their children until it's too late...but of course, it's not a guarantee to work all the time, but at least the misunderstanding can be minimized, and problems prevented...I have done this with my own kids; they're grown ups now, and even with the age gap, we do spend quality time together more often...

somebody said that, for a teenager, the worst part of the grown-up process is to realise that your parents was right all this time...that they wanted for you all the best in the world...it is true?
