Why do you think there are people who are rich, who belong to the middle class and those who are poor? What could have caused this? How does your country deal with this problem? There are other countries who have anti-poverty laws, does it help with the problem? How? The rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer, how come? Some say the poor are lazy, others say that the rich are lazy just spending money. What do you think? Will there be any equality? Do share your opinions.

If there was no 'rich' then there would be no 'poor' and 'middle class' is the percentage of people in between. It depends on how you define rich, middle class, and poor. They say communism was supposed to make everyone equal but I am absolutely sure the people running the country were makeing a lot more money than the common folk in Siberia.

Well, this is about financial matters, rich are the ones having much money as compared to poor and middle class, poor are usually the ones who have no homes, no money, no privelege and poor. Communism may not be the answer to these problems then.

You are not getting my point. You are classifying what POOR is. No jobs, no house, etc... Poor in the US is someone making less than $14,000/year. That is rich in another country. If one person makes $10 and another makes $1 the one with $10 is rich and the one with $1 is poor. And if someone made $4-6 that would make them middle class. $10 gets you a value meal at McDonalds... not much money. But $1 gets you almost nothing. It is all relative. Now If EVERYONE made $10... they are both rich, poor, and middle class all at the same time. If one person makes $1 more ($11) that makes them the 'rich' one. Communism is defined (a very simple definition) as 'an economic system where work and economy are shared by the whole community'. In essence everyone is all the same. We are not all the same....

I think communism won't be an answer to these problems, it would only degrade the status of other people.

here is a hug - I found this hug and wanted to share.
I really beleive it to be unfair to label people poor rish middle class.I live on a set income of very little money but I feel as though I am as rich as anybody I have friends and family you are only poor by choice of words if you are basing it on bases of money then it is a greed factor we are all the same some were just lucky enough to have come from money but do they remember that someone helped them to get where they are at.I have little money because I have multiple illnesses so I am not able to work I used to and I do miss it i love to work keeps your mind busy I want to do things and I hope that I will be able to but my health will be the determning factor I hope that this will change the way people view others it is not fair to say I am lazy I am not I just have health problems.

I'm sorry to hear about your health problems. Life is not only based on money, of course but we can't ignore the fact that money is important in one's life. Maybe the rich should share what they have.

Hi jonaida! Gosh, this inequality in our living status has been here since olden times. We belong in the same country and I guess, you very well know how corrupt most of our public officials. No matter how good the laws are, if they are not implemented then the public will always be the one who would be burdened. Corruption(public officials and the public as well), Ignorance, Crimes, Division between people, etc...to name a few. I guess, corruption is the main factor here. If everyone will just work for a common goal which is to alleviate the standard of living in our society and not concern themselves in acquiring power and wealth, maybe we have a chance. Our government has many policies and programs for the unemployed and the poor but it has not been thoroughly implemented. They will start the program, then hold a press conference and have it in the news for people to see that they are doing something, after awhile you won't hear anything about it again. Also, we really have to be very careful in who we elect as our public officials. I guess, we just have to work harder and pray that we win the lottery! lol! Have a nice day friend!
