Do you believe in superstitions? how did superstitions begin? personally i don't believe in superstitions, for me it is only a belief a belief that events are influenced by specific behaviors, without having a causal relationship. some people still cling to it even after new knowledge or facts prove that these beliefs are untrue. what are the common superstitions that you know?

I don't believe in superstitions all that much. I've accidentally broken a mirror before and my luck is still pretty much the same as it has always been. I've had several black cats cross my path as well and still nothing has changed. I believe superstitions have been around for as long the mid eval era, or it could have gone back as far as the beginnings of man, not sure really. The superstitions that I know about are: If you break a mirror you will have seven years bad luck. If a black cat crosses your path you will either have bad luck, or someone close to you is about to die. If you walk under a ladder you will have bad luck. If you see an ambulance it can be unlucky, unless you hold your nose or breath until you see a black or brown dog. You must get out of bed the same way you got into bed or you will have bad luck. If a bee enters your home, it's a sign that you will soon have a visitor. If you kill the bee, you will have bad luck, or the visitor will be unpleasant. There are many that I know, but it would be very long and possibly boring to read all of them. So that is just to name a few.

No, I do not believe in supersititions, because they are supersititions...and may not be relevant in today's fast changing world.

the most common one is about black cats do I believe that one? Well, my first cat was black & her name was Sabbeth. I currently have 4 black cats, so... I don't think so. There's the Friday the 13th - don't by that one either. I do believe in luck, because if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

There's nothing wrong with following a few superstitions... It doesn't mean that you have to believe on what it says but just to be on the safe side... I remember my grandma always tell me not to cut my nails at night because it might be bad luck.
