How Many Language Can You Speak?

Hi there. I speak english and the language of my own culture, which is "The Maori language"

i can speak tagalog (native language of people from the Philippines), english, a little spanish (learned a little when i was in college) and japanese.

English is my main language, i can speak some spainsh but not alot. When I was in school it was reqired I don't now why I don't talk to anyone that speaks spainsh anyway.. Nore do I travel either so I really don't use it.. Who knows though maybe one day I might need it. You just never know!

i can speak english and malay language. i understand basic mandarin though..just love watching mandarin series and listening to mandarin songs even though i don't really understand or speak the language .

I speak English of course. But in high school I took French and Spanish. I cannot speak them fluently but I know a few words and phrases of both languages. So that would mean I somewhat speak three.

Hello viollet_ry!:-) It is always nice to know more languages which helps in more understanding and communication. One can enjoy traveling and stay in different country more if one knows the language of that country or culture. I can read, write and speak 4 languages, namely English, French, Urdu and Punjabi. There are two other languages which I can understand at intermediate level but I can't speak or write them as such. I always find it interesting to learn more languages:-)

i can speak 2-3 languages and they are english, urdu, i can speak hindi since it's very similar to urdu.

I'd like to speak an oriental language... but never had neither opportunity nor motive to learn one. I speak German, Spanish, English fluently. I also read French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch without difficulties and a very tiny bit of Russian. Two years ago I started to study Swahili, my first non European language, and I enjoyed it very much although I would need to have more practice. Languages can turn a separation among people, but also they can turn into a connection. One should also be open to learn a new one.

I can speak English, and a little Japanese, I think if I study hard, and someday I will learn it.

hi viollet,i know strightaway that you are chinese indonesian at my first reading of your post,:) yes i am chinese australian but unfortunately i dont know anything about cantonese but mandarin. nice to meet you here in mylot.

that is great viollet! language skill or multilingual person can easily communicate,understand or be understood. what about cantonese?

Well i speak creole(native language of Mauritians),French, English, Hindi, Bhojpuri and is planning to learn one more. I think mandarin wont be bad.

i can speack my contry language urdu hindi gugrati punjabi marhati pushto pershian arabic english sinhala tamil and some thi can understand

i can speak english , hindi , telugu and i little bit of tamil.
