where do the doves go?

this is so off topic,just yesterday i watched many doves were release in a wedding party.just curious what happens to them?since they've always lived in captivity,they won't survive on their own..don't you think?do you think they back to their trainer or just release them so we can enjoy the 10 seconds of beauty and let them to die?hope not.

Those doves were likely homing pigeons and returned to their loft and owner.
