Hii poobear and others If i may i would like to share a little wisdom with you guys about ebaying. As some of you have said ebay can be a great place and a fun place especially when you are selling and you can take great joy in the selling aspect of it, i have been both a seller and a buyer and ran a fairly good business on ebay for a while but don't be too nieve ebay is also full of sharks in the form of buyers and sellers, there are numerous tricks and scams that can be adopted by people to get things for free and there are also tricks and scams that can be adopted by sellers to get your cash from you without sending you your items. If you are selling on ebay one of the easiest things to get done over by is te good old " my item has not arrived yet " when in actual fact the item has arrived but the buyer has not had to sign for it so the seller than has to prove that the item was sent and did arrive, if you did not send your item by signed for delivery then you stand no chance what so ever of wining any dispute that is raised against you, also if you are in the uk and are paid via paypal it's fairly safe to say that paypal will not recognise any royal mail slip which is not special delivery so make sure that you say you will only send via special delivery and charge for it as well this gives you an upper edge, of course not using paypal will be a huge advantage to you in not getting done over but it can also cost you money and bids as people like to use paypal but never forget the scammers also love paypal because of it's easy exploits. Another good way of protecting yourself is to mark items ( not clothing ) with an invisible marker that way if anyone says it arrived damaged you can ask them to send it back in which case you will provide a refund or replacement but if they send back one which has no marking on it then you know that they have sent you a different item which was alrready broke and they are using you to get a perfect one for free. hope that is of some help to someone at some point in their ebay lives.

Thanks redfang. That is good advice. Can you please explain more in detail about the marking? I don't quite understand how that goes. I recently purchase a bunk bed from a seller because I am in the process of becoming a foster parent. The container that the bunk bed came in had great big holes in it as though someone drove a forklift through it or someone has been tampering with it. The seller blamed it out on the FEDEX carrier, but found it hard to believe the damage came from the carrier because there was so much damage. The container also looked very used and old. Now it will cost me more to ship it back than if I were to keep it. I really feel cheated. Now I know not to purchase valuable things like that from EBAY anymore. I just thought I found a really good deal. Thanks for the awesome advice.

The clothes are 0-6, 3-6, an 6-9 there are some 12 months I will be adding more to my auctions all week long. Most that I am putting on now is new born but the bigger ones are to come. My daughter is 8 months but she is a chubby little girl so I had to start buying 12 months shirts.
