Favorite picnic food?

It depends on the picnic. If it's in a park or whatever where grilling is allowed, I love to do chicken and veggies or burgers on the grill. If not, I usually stick with hoagies and chips which I pick up en route to the location. If it's a big family function with picnic and grilling and stuff like that, I like to do a little of everything. Hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill (a little chicken too, sometimes). Potato salad, macaroni salad, tomato salad, green salad, chips, dip, baked beans... and then add some unusual finger foods, like lumpia or egg rolls.

My favorite picnic foods are fried chicken, watermelon, and as a beverage, sweet tea. Since I try to stay healthy, I no longer eat that fried chicken, but I sure do miss it. And I haven't been on a picnic recently. I can't seem to find the optimum circumstances: not too hot, not too cool, not too windy, and mosquitos and gnats don't attack. LOL
