I'm about to take my one year old on a two hour flight. He's been on an airplane once before when he was six months old, but it's been a while. He was fine on the flight but he wasn't mobile then. Now he's mobile and can never sit still unless he's sleeping. I'm a little nervous, haha! Anybody else fly with their kids when they were young? Share some stories...I want the best and the worst of them all!! :)

As I'm originally from Indonesia and my husband from the netherlands ,I've done a lot of traveling with my son to visit our family. and I've done it since he was only 8 weeks old. What I found helpful for short flight is just keep them occupied with activities like books or toys , it also help if you seat by the window as kids like to see what's hapening outside.
For a long trip I normally try to make him very tired on the departure day so he will be sleeping on the plane...

Wow. That is one long flight. I've done several of those 13 hour long flights by myself but I can't imagine doing that with a child. You are one brave person! :)
