So my manager has been on a power trip ever since our OTHER manager got promoted. Well, she was already a handful and barely tolerable and a lot of people have been talking about quitting. I took a poll and it turned out that it was about 50% of our staff actually. Well someone just quit and apparently ratted out all of the names she could remember to said boss (I think as a threat since she was upset). Well, each of us that the manager knew about received a long handwritten note on how much she appreciated our work. She has NEVER been one to tell us we are good at our job much less say thank you. This alone seemed odd (before we found out about ex-employee) and that she was full of it. What would you do if a boss of said character suddenly sent you a note like this? I feel like I still want to quit and a silent note won't change anything. Have you had to deal with something similar before?
