Yahoo mail access problems

I can't seem to get onto yahoo mail from my computer. I know it has nothing to do with Yahoo because I can access the mail from other computers. I can't access other secure sites either such as bank accounts ect... Everytime I click on mail or any other secure site it comes up with the 'Internet Connection Failure' message. I've had this problem before and I thought it had to do with my security settings (I am running Windows Internt Explorer) but I have'nt been able to fix it yet. Could anybody help me out with this? Thanks.

Do you have Windows Xp? You might have it on user, instead of Administrator. Also if you have a firewall, check to see if it allows yahoo mail to get through. In some firewalls, you have to give it special permission. To check for Administrator, go to Control Panel, then check on user and then check on change user and make yourself administrator. Also if you are using Firefox and have noscript, you have to press on the S and allow Yahoo mail and the other secured sites.

Thanks for your response. I ended up downloading another browser (firefox Mozilla). It works fine now. If you have the standard Windows Firewall, how do you check to see if they allow yahoo mail to get through? Thanks.
