terms of conditions

does anyone out here read that stuff? i've tried to skim through but i don't understand half the stuff it says! sometimes i feel like it could say "we are liable enter your home whenever we want to" and i wouldn't know if it said that! but they are so long and...... gosh... i don't know! who actually reads the terms and stuff?

I always at least make an attempt at reading such things if I'm signing up for something I consider important (say online banking or some such) but on most random websites I don't bother. There's just so much junk in there. I am very careful about terms and conditions on websites where I am posting any of my writing though, just in case they might want to claim some sort of copyright or some such.
I think most of the time the excessive use of legal terms is done on purpose to keep people from reading it and actually knowing what they're agreeing to. And then of course if you ever get into an argument with admin or whatever, they can say "Well it was in the terms!" Bleh.

I know what you mean dafnie thats why I leave that stuff to my husband LOL I don't know half of what is in our lease but I know I should read it. I did partly to find out if we could paint our walls and who was responsible for fixing plumbing issues but thats about it.

Wow that's a great topic, & to be very honest, I don't read that stuff also. I'm sure there are very good reasons why I should, but I simply don't. I agree, it could say ....... "You're selling your soul to the devil", & I would not know. (LMAO)
