Do you have a blended family?

I had no children when I married a man with 4. Then we had two together. My oldest stepdaugher has been married 3 times and has 1 child. My second stepchild has had one wife and one daughter. Stepchild #3 has a stepson and 1 child from a previous marriage. He married a woman with 2 children, and now they have 1 child together. My youngest stepdaughter married a man with a child. They had two together and are now divorced. My own daughter was married and divorced. Then she married a man with a child and they have had 2 together. My youngest has no children as yet. How about that for a non-traditional family?

I have a step mom, and just wanted to tell you that when I lived at home we didnt get along at all. But now I have kids of my own, and we have come together as a family. Actually right now, and probably forever, my step mom is the best mom I could ask for. She is always there for me when I need someone to talk to. And I feel funny calling her my step mom now. I honestly consider her my real mom. Just hang in there, hopefully soon you two can build a lasting mother-daughter relationship.

Well, it's sort of blended. I have 1 son who is an adult now and I have a 4 year old with my current partner. I come from a semi blended family. We all have the same mother but I have a different father. In both families there have been issues with the "newer" partner. I've heard all the "you're not my dad" I ever care to hear. We had our ups and downs too. Now that everyone is older it's not like that anymore.
