Smoking at gas stations....

I saw this woman sitting in a truck talking to someone outside of it and someone inside of it. She saw me looking at her hand with the cigarette which was outside the window. When she saw me staring at it, she put her hand inside the window but the window was still down. What is it about people today? Don't they know it is dangerous? I wanted to say something to her, but she was with two big men. The man in the gas station would not have left his register to deal with it....I know it.

People take so much for granted these days. Some people just lack common sense. Everyone should know that it's unsafe to smoke around gasoline. Actually it's unsafe to talk on your cellphone at the pumps also.
I bet you should would be the first person to want to sue the station if something had happened.

Actually the myth about it being dangerous to talk on a cellphone at a gas station is just that, a myth. It's been proven on the Discovery channel show Mythbusters that cellphones do not cause a spark that will start a fire. In fact there are no documented cases of a cell phone ever causing a fire or explosion at a gas station. Nor has anyone scientifically demonstrated that such a thing is even possible.
While some gas station fires were initially attributed to cell phone use in the press, further investigation has always turned up another cause.

Its amazing how some people think that they are safe from any danger, and lacking common sense, smoking at gas stations is quite a common accurance here!, but where I used to live some people would leave their cars running whilst they filled up!. That used to scare the life out of me.

Some people are just dumb. ALthough the chance is small that she would make the place blow up, there is still a change. I watch too much Myth Busters I think. But they did do a show on that.

Hi there girl and how was your vacation! Yes things like that is mind boggling sometimes, they should in fact tell her to put it out or leave the gas station. She is not only putting her life at risk but also everybody else's!
