Dota is NOT about killing the enemy heros. It is only a part of the game which can be useful to provide u better inventory items. So, killing heros should not be our main aim. Try to take out as many enemy towers as possible in the shortest possible time without dying or losing a lot of hp. This is the essence of Dota. So, even if u have 0 hero kills and the enemy has 20 or more kills, it doesnt matter if u r better than ur enemy in the matter of towers. (though if the enemy has a lot of kills, he may have better items and then can starting taking out towers.) So balance between the offensive(taking down enemy towers) and defensive(protecting our own towers). So, when u r low level, u cant tank a tower. That will be the time to concentrateon the enemy heros and increasing ur level and ur gold. If u r high level and buy the right items, u can be a very fast tower destroyer. Then buy boots of travel and destroy the towers that have no enemy heros near them. And push till the frozen throne or the world treee and finish the game.
