Have you ever been blessed by a Good Samaritan who helped you out?

Most of the time it seems like people just ignore other people who are in trouble. But then out of the blue a miracle will happen. I was going to my daughter's concert one evening when my car quit - in the middle of a busy intersection. Numerous people gave me dirty looks and blasted past me. Finally one person stopped and helped me push my car into a convenience store parking lot. There I waited for about a half an hour. I couldn't get hold of anyone to help me. Out of the blue a young man came up to me and asked if I needed help. He was a mechanic from a battery shop about six blocks away from where I was stranded. He checked my car and told me my alternator was no good and my battery was dead. The nearest open place to buy a battery was about five miles away. This very nice young man went back to where he worked (which was closed) and brought back a temporary battery for me that would get me to my daughter's house, which was only about a mile away. He didn't ask for my name. He just trusted me when I said I would come to the battery store after work with my car and have them fix it. (Which I did.) Now, how many people would go out of their way after a long hard day at work to help someone out like this? His kind assistance restored my faith in human goodness.
