How many times a day do you wash dishes? Do you wait til you get a huge batch of them to wash? or Do you do a bunch of smaller batches? Do you wash by hand or have a dishwasher??

Hi there. Washing dishes for me is a thing of the past... Why I say this, is because washing dishes is part of my childrens chores, they wash our dishes every night... Oh I do our breakfast dishes in the mornings and thats about it... Otherwise our children are happy to to dishes for part of their chores...

I wash up the dishes after each and every meal, unless I'm sick or something. I don't like having dirty dishes hanging around, and I don't have a dishwasher. I had a dishwasher, but I didn't like it and I gave it to my (ex) mother-in-law. When I did have a dishwasher, it took forever to get a load worth washing, and I wouldn't run it just for a small load...it's a waste of water, imho. So, I just do them by hand. When I'm preparing a meal, or baking, I keep the sink filled with soapy water and I wash up as I go, it makes it easier to keep up with it all.

I don't have a dishwasher, I am the dishwasher. I do them once a day usually. I try not to do them more then that, cause it just gets annoying. Its bad enough having to do them that once a day. lol I hate doing the dishes and dread having to stand there and hand wash them, rinse, and put them in the drain.

I usually wash the dishes a couple of times a day, either in the morning and after lunch or after tea and after lunch. I have to wash bottles and stuff for my daughter so I feel like I am always washing dishes! I do it all by hand and I cant wait to move into my new house and get a dishwasher so I dont have to do it by hand any more! I always seem, to have a heap of dishes on the sink,no matter what time of day it is!

I used to wait until I had a sinkful (or dishwasher-full) to do dishes. But now it seems like that's about all I do. I am the only female (apart from our 14 1/2 month old daughter) in a home with 4 men, and we all do dishes. Very seldom will you see a dirty dish (usually if there's one sitting around, it's mine, lol, due to old habits or bottles or sippy cups soaking). Since I've been with my fiance, I quit running a sinkful of dishwater to wash, we just put the soap on the sponge and turn the water on long enough to wash and rinse. Putting the dishes away is another story, lol, no one likes to do that here. But instead of taking a plate or glass of the dish-drainer, they guys take another one out of the cupboard! Ooh, that really drives me nuts, because that's just more that get's loaded up on the counter until someone puts them away, lol.

I usually end up washing dishes once a day. I load them up in the dishwasher and run it when it's full. If there is anything else leftover, I wash it by hand and let it air dry. I also make sure to use air dry on the dishwasher to save electricity.

At the moment I washing by hand until I get my kitchen installed we are on tank water too so I try and wash only once a day, but I usually get annoyed with the dishes sitting there and have to wash them..So about twice a day at the moment.

We have a dishwasher, and we usually run it daily or every other day, depending on how often we use paper plates. :) There are a few dishes that we have to wash by hand, but mostly everything just goes into the dishwasher, and when it gets full, or we need something in there clean, we will run it.

I live by myself so I don't have alot of dishes, and sometimes I just use paper plates. So I only wash dishes once a day or maybe every two days. I eat alot of small meals that can be done in th microwave oven or salads.

Maybe 3 or 4 or 5 times a day. Whenever there are dirty dishes or glasses in the sink. Since we're 10 in the family, you can't avoid having dirty dishes all the time. I prefer to wash dishes right away after use instead having it piled up and fill the sink. It makes it harder to wash then. I do wash by hand because we don't have a dishwasher at home.
