Oh yah, I'm waiting intently for ReactOS to complete a stable version. It looks like it will be awhile yet, but I can hardly wait. If it works like they're hoping (and I'm hoping), I might stop using Windows altogether. It's supposed to be a free alternative to Windows, and intended to be forward and backward compatible with most Windows software now and yet to come.

For how many years I've been in the computer industry I can name more than 10 Operating Systems. Dating back in history and until now.
Microsoft Windows 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.1, Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000, Windows Millenium Edition, Windows XP, Windows Vista - Windows Vienna (7) soon to come out 2009 or late 2010.
Then goes with the MAC OS 7-X series
Linux - Suse, Mandrake, Redhat, Ubuntu
Unix, Minix - Older versions
These are a few I can name of now.

Windows and all its versions, Linux, and Mac OS are some of the most popular OSes.
Others are IBM's MVS, DEC's OpenVMS, OS2, MS-DOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD

My first computer was a Commodore Amiga, it had an O/S called Workbench. It was before windows yet was graphically produced almost identical to it. So there's
1. Workbench, 2. Linnux. 3.Apple Mac 4. Artari had one (I think). 5 DOS - can't think of any more. Of course 6. would be all the Windows... 95, 98, Me, 2000, XP and now Vista.
Nope, I can't name 10..
