Current Crochet Projects

Hello all you crochet addicts!I have slowly been working on a baby blanket for my son whom is due mid October. I also have to start on a blanket for my niece whom is due early December. That alone should put my butt in motion and get to work on these blankets to finish them in time.
I then realized the other day that my daughter will be turning 2 in November. Last year I decided to make her a carebear character for her birthday every year until she turns 10. Instead of the heart that goes on the hip I put the age she is turning. Which means, I have to start and finish one of the carebear characters by mid November!That's a lot of stitching! So, what are your current crochet projects?

Your projects sound interesting. I am currently 'slowly' working on a queen size afghan for my oldest grandson.
My other big interest in crochet right now is going through the patterns I inherited when my dear sister in law passed away a few months ago. I also was blessed to receive several of the doilies she had made over the years. Treasures to me. I have plans to freshen up at least one of her doilies and frame it along with her picture.

I just finished a baby afghan. My teenager came home from his dad's and said 'Mom, could you make me one of your afghans like my baby sisters?' At first I almost passed out LOL Then he explained that a friends of his dad's was having a baby and the shower was this past weekend (teens sure know how to shock a mom LOL). I also finished a set of pumpkin coasters for the fall. I know that I have xmas gifts to make---doily and coaster sets so I will be working on those soon:-) Along with some bookmarks for the kids and working on a scrapghan of yoyos.
