Joining the navy at 40

I've joined the navy at 40 years old. I will be sworn in next week. Who thinks that Canada needs a stronger navy to protect our vast coastlines?

Congrats from your southern neighbor! Interesting career choice at 40, but at any age its a good choice. I'm coming up on the end of the AF career but I'm not quite 40 yet.
Quite honestly, I've never met a Canadian Navy person. Lots of AF, and Army, but never Navy. Having a strong Navy would be a good thing.
