UnLock car by cell phone.

I was listening to the radio on the way home from work the other day and heard something interesting. They were saying that if you lock your keys in the car and you have a spare set at home you can call who ever in home and have them point the key F O B at the phone and you point your phone to the door and when they hit unlock on the fob it will be sent over the phone and unlock your door. i havent tryed it out yet but if it works thats a cool way to get into your car when locked out. has any one heard of or tryed this before
