What do you think about Blue Jays and their season? Do you think that they are playing well this year or just as bad as last season? But last season they ended up with a good record and still didn't make it to the post-season so do you think that they will have any chance of making it this year? If not, why do you think so??

I think that the Blue Jays are having a good season and are just waiting for their chance to go on a nice run and catch up on the Yankees and the Rays and possibly cause a stir in the playoff race. The Jays have a good starting rotation with Roy Halladay, A.J Burnett, Shaun Marcum, Jesse Litsch, and Dustin McGowan who all have the quality stuff to throw a no-hitter during every start. The big problem that we have is that we cannot hit the ball at all, we are lacking in the power department because the players that we have are trying to hard to make things happen. A recent game against Cincinnati we made Bronson Arroyo go an Inning and a third and we scored 11 runs off of him. Alex Rios is trying a little to hard to hit the ball out of the ballpark and that is causing him to pop the ball up and he should go with the ball and hit it the other way if he can. Vernon Wells is good but the big problem is that he can never stay healthy but when he is he is very effective. Scott Rolen has the power to hit home runs but he is most known for his defensive plays at third base. Matt Stairs is our most consistent hitter especially for hitting home runs. Our bullpen is one of the best in the MLB because we have guys who are good at what they do like Shawn Camp, Jesse Carlson, BJ Ryan, Jeremy Accardo, and Scott Downs leading the charge. A big blow that we had was Casey Janssen who had season ending sergury in Spring Training. Our defense is really good with Aaron Hil, David Eckstein, Lyle Overbay, Gregg Zaun ands our gold glover Scott Rolen at the hot corner which makes a tremendous infield. In the outfield we have Matty Stairs in left, Alex Rios in right who has a cannon for a right arm and the Gold Glover who is arguably the best center fielder in the league right now. The Jays future is looking bright for the Jays

We're mediocre this year, again. Wells is in a bit of a slump ever since Gibby took him off lead off where he was, surprisingly, doing rather well. Someone keeps giving Zaun batting gloves and he can't hit when he wears those. Rios on the other hand is doing good, Hill's slipped a bit since the beginning of the season and McDonald may not be hitting well but he's awesome defensively, as always. And it is very nice to have Johnson back in the outfield. However with the way we're playing our odds of making it past third place are slim to nil. Slightly better are our odds of at least making it to 100 wins... which means we have to win nearly every game for the rest of the season. Possible if we played them all like we've been playing our home games, but it isn't looking good for that. But hey on occasion we kick it into gear around the end of the season so who knows.
