If you had to lose 10 pounds in a month, how would you do it?

I have done that before. Of course, I don't know if you are on any restrictions, but a good way is to drink nothing but water, and maybe a glass of orange juice once that is not from concentrate. Limit your calories to 1,600 a day, and that includes beverages. Walk a mile a day, and with the rest of it, I'm telling ya, if you do those things, you'll lose 10 pounds in a month. And you don't have to spend extra money to join a diet plan. I just lost 6 pounds this week, but I did it mostly by eating ultra healthy. I doubt anyone would want to try what I eat, and that is too bad, I kinda like it now.

Thanks for the suggestions, this is the type of inspiration I was looking for. Wow, you lost 6 pounds in a week. That is great. Feel free to share what you eat and what you did to do that, I'm interested! I really want to achieve this goal. If I could just lose the 10 pounds, I would be so happy, but it seems so far away!

I also forgot to add that I do not have any restrictions.

Have you ever had couscous? It is like rice, but so much healthier. I had to learn to flavor it, because it is bland by itself. Also I eat Kashi 7 grain cereal. Sometimes I have it twice a day. Not only is it full of whole grains which is important to our health, but whole wheat and grains also keep acne away. I eat red meat sparingly, and I find different kinds of grilled fish right in the freezer at my grocery store. They are usually flavored, so I don't even have to do the seasoning. Yesterday, I sliced the fish up and put it in the couscous. May sound gross, but I surpringly loved it. It's sorta of like chicken and rice. I haven't been walking, but that is what I love. It's been too hot for me to go, so I do exercises indoors. You can probably search for back exercises, and that is a lot of what I do. Because most of those exercise tone your stomach, not just work on your back. I guess the big thing is to just watch the calories and drink that water. I know you can do it. And here is some good news. I lost 6 pounds in a week, but I also have a condition that makes it 5 times harder to lose weight than the average woman. So I'm actually fighting my body to lose the weight. I tell you that so you know you can do it. If I can, you can. And if my food choices don't sounds good, that's OK. I even found this whole wheat crust pizza, and I was so shocked. It tasted better than any frozen one in the store that wasn't whole wheat. I'm just becoming more aware of what to look for in food. And it is about time I did! LOL

Its really different for everyone. But the safest way to lose 10 pounds is by being active. Either by doing some exercise or just have a long walk. You should consume a smaller ration. I usually think that this plagues people because restaurants often give big servings, and people usually consume it all. (This usually plagues America.)`Good luck.

Well, for a guy it may be a little different, but I found that running/jogging or even walking a longer distance combined with a low calorie/no snacking/no fat diet (and drinking only water!) worked really well for me and some of my friends. The pounds will slip right off, really. Though while it is effective, you'll find yourself becoming very tired very often, but it'll pass.
