Here is the problem as I see it. Whenever these types of petty meaningless squabbles pop up on Mylot, it usually ends up with a couple of members being banned or having discussions removed. And you know what happens to all the people whoe were genuinely interested in the members discussion and took the time to answer? They lose those credits and are punished for doing nothing wrong. The way I seeit, if there is a discussion that offends you or that you don't like, mbe an adult and move onto something that suits you better and leave it alone for those of us who aren't easily offended. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular because everyone involved in these arguments is wrong

Agreed. You'd think people over the age of 5 would start acting that way.

Hi Inked,
I agree, this is probably one that will end up deleted. Because this one person in the #1 spot of the discussion. She automatically assumed that I was butting in. I wasn't even talking to or about her/him. So don't be surprised if points go down later. Sorry in advance. But deffinately best response to you!
Peace, Totty

Hear hear inked. I could not agree with you more.
About what you mention on the effects of banned members and the losses everyone is getting as a result of being banned. I long had a feeling that sumat smelly was going on with myLot and the earnings. It sure would explain why the balance on your account flucktuate (going up and down), and why the members getting banned mostly have 7/8 $ in their balance.
The more i get to know this site, the less i like it. There is too much seecrecy about what is happening behind the curtains, or any open guidelines on how myLot is operated.
There is too many do not's and very little given back to the members. You can barely enter a discussion without some sort of violation of the rules is taking place, ut it seems like some people gets away with murder whereas others are left to struggle on with your membership in permanent danger, for pissing somebody off.

Yeah I know what you mean. I know exactly what you mean, and it drives me crazy too. People need to grow up, and get a life. I'm sick and tired of people fighting everywhere I go on line. We'll never be able to stop them, but we can atleast make some points voicing our opinions.

I hear that, but voicing our opinions here can lead to deletion. Loss of points too.

Totty, you didn't see the worst "face" on mylot yet. In this case you are dealing with one obsessed religion person.
In some cases group of people are bulling one person. Some people who are popular here are working with mylot gang and reporting good discussion to be removed. I think they have fun doing it. Seems like mylot admin no longer cares, so good discussions are removed and nice users are banned.
Like you said, we here not for fight, but like in real life, fight and anger seems to be second nature for some people.

It takes more than one "abuse report" for anyone to be banned. It looks like group of people is involved in it again.

Since I know that you did get control of your own account later....You did not get banned. Most likely you were suspended for a time while your account was investigated. Might have been because of the Posting While Intoxicated (PWI) that you have been doing when your wife has been away. Yes, pola is correct. There is a group/gang that target members. They have been around for awhile. Stay away from them. Avoid their discussions. Watch your backside and protect yourself. It is possible to have fun on this site. Just watch where you step. LOL

Hi Pola,
I think I did get banned over this one topic, All I was doing was helping a friend out. I can't even access my acct anymore, I'm using my wifes acct just to get in here. I am a normally peaceful person, but now I am enraged. I am trying to get my acct back now. I don't think I did anything wrong. I've always tryed to keep good with people even if I don't agree with them.

I am trying but I still get hot headed over certain subjects...lol. I think we all have a bit of that in us. As far as people getting banned thats a crying shame and if it comes down to me getting banned over something I say or post than I think its time for me to move on from mylot. I dont think anyone should be banned for petty differences only if you are warned for being malicious and continue to be.

I agree, Evan, whole-heartedly.
I get pretty hot-headed too, particularly when some people are simply talking out their behinds without a shred of fact behind their blow-hard b.s.
It's one thing to argue, arguing is healthy. It's a whole different thing for people to go around whining to admin about anything other than blatant name-calling, continued harassment or cheating (i.e. stealing others' posts or spamming).
If people can't handle playing with the big kids, they need to keep their arses on the damn porch.

I think I know what is going on here. I started following this little cat fight this morning. I have researched the posts of the two people involved, and I have a very definite opinion about who is at fault here and needs to "chill out". I think it is a stupid shame that totty got banned for this but, so be it. The admins here don't seem to be very active. They only react to reports. I have been on a multitude of forums many more users than this one has. The admins in those forums cruise it regularly. Here? No so much.

I couldn't agree with you more, and I know who is behind this game. It looks like dark side is active again.
It is shame to see people like Totty not to be able to log in.

You know that the rules say we have to be over 18 years old. I often wonder if these people are 18, as they are so immature.

I am sorry to hear this. You are such a sweet person. But, there is always a trouble maker on all sites. I'm glad they are gone and it is worked out now. Peace, God bless, M&M

The one I was talking about is in their 50's. They were in this discussion, but now they are deleted per my request. I felt like I was being attacked, and a few others had their say also. It's all gone and done now. It's something that shouldn't have happened.

I was part of the arguement, and I must admit, I may took it a little too far, but this woman just racked my nerves for calling me names.
I am feeling quite better now, I just took a break, and here I am, still here, and doing just fine.
I will just stay away from the person with TOO many overopinionated ways.
So, I'm chill now.

Hey Jennifer,
I got kicked out for some rude remarks that were made. I am on my wifes acct. This is the only way I can enter in here. That's not fair. When I started this discussion a certain person, unnamed (#1 position) came in and started BS. Maybe I wasn't talking about her. But she got her dander up. I think she also reported me. Cuz now I can't even log in.
Peace, Totty/Shades

Don't feel bad! Everyone has an opinion, some just don't agree and they play with the report button. I will be back on my acct. I have already pleaded with myLot admin. to see if they can ban her and let me back. Afterall, look at her rep verses mine, she has a problem with people and obviously I don't until now. So don't feel bad, she will pay eventually!

I know exactly what you mean! I was going to respond to a discussion earlier but then I saw all the drama caused by one over opinionated member, which I thought was tacky and childish!
We are all given an opportunity to voice our opinions her on Mylot but in a reasonable approach, there is no need for name calling, pointing fingers or even JUDGING! That is not what we are here for! I feel that they way some members chose to respond are flat out outrageous for this forum! If they do not like a discussion then I feel that they should move on, come on now! There are over 100,000 more discussions for us to choose from!
Although I would hate to accept it, there are the kinds of members here who take pride in putting others down just to make they feel better, but this is NOT the place for those shenanigans!
Here on Mylot it is neither about who is right nor who is wrong! The fact is we all contribute in one way or another, but there are those who are just prone to picking on the members who aren’t up to par with their standards! Which is pathetic? I really hope they grow up and stop tying to poison this great community we have!
