Saturday evenings

Our Saturday evenings are usually at home puttering around the house. Sometimes we head in the pool for a few hours and then come in to watch TV. Other times we play our Wii, which we are doing now. Our Saturday evenings or even full Saturdays are nothing exciting.
So I am wondering, how are your Saturday evenings spent? Are they like any other night for you?

My husband works from 11 pm-7am Sunday-Thursday most of the time. So we don't really do much in the evenings even on the weekend because we don't want to mess his sleep pattern up. He gets up around 8 pm and we might watch a movie or TV or something. We've been moving so that's kind of messing everything up still right now. Before we started moving, we would sit outside for a while some Friday and Saturday nights and just watch the sunset or watch our son play.
When my husband goes back to days, we will probably watch movies and/or play games on Friday and Saturday evenings. My 17 month old has just started wanting to play Memory all of the time, so my husband might start playing that some with him in the evenings. When he gets older, it will probably become a family game night or something.

There isn't much different about Saturday evenings for me. My husband works nights, and his schedule is actually Wed-Sun nights, so it's Mondays and Tuesdays that are different for us because he's home then. Usually when I'm working Saturday is only a half day for me, so I get to spend more time home with my son, but I've been on medical leave for over a month now, so it seems like Saturdays are just like any other day.
Today I wound up taking a nap mid-afternoon, and this evening I watched some TV and read a bit of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'm trying to read it slowly actually, kind of stretch the enjoyment, hence my being on mylot at the moment.

Nah, we chance our weekends mostly, we just go with it. We can spend a day being lazy, out in the yard, traveling, anything. We just like to go with it on weekends, it's a more laid back approach than we take during the week. The only thing that is a must, what ever we do, we do it as a family.

I watch America's Most Wanted, which has given many great tips to make yourself less of a target for the bad person. Its sad to know there are many criminals. The rest of the evening is spent catching up on mail. This probably sounds very dull to most people reading my post.

I spend my saturday nights at home watching a bit of tv and spending time with my daughter and partner. I work every sunday and have to get up quite early to get myself and my daughter organised so I usually go to bed early. Nothing too exciting happens here on the weekends!

Hi Penguinsangel! I spend my Saturday evenings with my husband at home. Sometimes we attend parties but most of the time we rather stay home and enjoy the night watching our favorite movies, eating and joking around. I never get bored to this really. I guess, no matter where you spend it, the important thing is you spend it with the ones you love. Have a nice day!
