Why the pizza is so expensive in Shanghai?

I like pizza very much.Unfortunately,it is very expensive in Shanghai.In the pizza hut,generally,a piece of pizza is 8 dollars at least.You know,you can buy 5 hamburgers with 8 dollars.
I am wondering that what the price of pizza in your area?Is it so expensive?

I am from Pakistan and there are many Pizza parlors here. I also love to eat pizza. The pizza parlors are also foreign and local. The local pizza costs $2.5 whereas the foreign pizza parlor e.r Pizza Hut gives the same pizza worth $12. Now thats alot expensive as compared to you getting the same only in $8. I think its because of the foreign pizza parlors, the pizzas are very expensive there in Shanghai.
