A question about putting photos in posts

I know I saw a post about this once already but for the life of me I cannot find it. So please forgive me for the repeat question. I was just wanting to know how to add pictures to our posts/discussions???? Could someone please explain to me how this is done. I'm new and kind of confused obout this. Thanks for your time.
