My Kitty lost one of his nine lives Friday night!

Friday night I didn't get home from work til about 20 after nine. When I got home i found out that when my dad was on the computer,he knocked something over and went to pick it up.He leaned his weight on the desk and it fell over and the monitor had fallen right on my poor little Moose kitty. My Dad said he moved the monitor and Moose ran under the bed . He had to finish putting the computer desk together that i had already started so he could put the computer on it. I think the only thing that saved my kitty from death or serious injury is that moose had been lying on top of a bag of clothes I was donating to the thrift shop the next day.I honestly think if that bag hadn't of been there to soften the blow,Moose probably would have died or have been seriously injured.I examined him and he was fine, thank God. Now he only has 8 lives left!

OMG--poor Moose! I'm glad to hear nothing horrendous happened to him...good thing you had that bag of clothes to soften the blow and he landed on it....give Moose an extra hug for me...is he still wary or shaken up...or has he forgiven everyone??

tell me about it. I think the unrolling of the toilet paper on this occasion was to let mommy know that all was well. He is back to his ornery self. august 5th he will be one year old and I am so glad he is gonna live to see it.

Oh I had a big scare with my kitten once. I was on the floor working on a project while the 'kids' were running around wreaking havoc. I got up to get something then plopped back onto the floor. Unfortunatly, one of the kittens run under me as my butt was crashing to the floor and I landed, full force, right on top of him!! Scared the crap out of me, cuz I am fairly obese and he was only about 6 weeks old, not to mention the hard floor offering no cushion what-so-ever. But he was fine. He was freaked out and ran from me for a few minutes, but once I checked him out, nothing seemed broken, and he was fine afterwards. I was pretty shaken up as well, maybe even more than he had been.

To clarify my use of the term 'kids' above, I was referring to the whole litter of kittens plus a few of my other kitties.

I am glad to know that your kitty is safe, isn't it ironical that it was saved by the clothes that you were going to donate - so one good turn deserves another.

I am an animal lover too. For years I told myself I was more of a dog than cat person...until we added to our cat population and now we have 5 plus our 2 big dogs. Anyway I am so glad to hear the happy ending to your story. When I read your post I was drawn to it because it mentioned a cat and their nine lives. From the sound of it...you and your beloved cat had a guardian angel looking out for it...just as the cute picture posted shows. Cute, heartwarming story...hope if anything similar happens around here that I've got a big bag of clothing to cushion the blow.

I am so glad that your kitty is okay and was not killed or seriously injured by the monitor. I know you are so relieved your kitty is fine. Your kitty is probably scared silly to be near your dad. :-) Moose will probably stay far away from the computer. It is amazing Moose did not get hurt. He definitely used one of his nine lives.

Wow, kitty was lucky! Even when we are extremely careful around the cats they seem to dart quickly and nearly avoid getting stepped on or a tail closed in the door.

How old ios Moose, your kitty? He was indeed very lucky. I know a number of my friends cats who loose some of their 9 lives. Some cats seem destined that way. My parents neighbour had a kitten they loved, & it was always getting up to incidents, that caused injury. A few months later he lost his life. My cats, however, although one of them gets up to silly things, have never really had an accident or near miss. I am very glad Moose is okay.

I was SO relieved to hear that Moose was okay. That must have been a traumatic experience for him and you. Incidents like that make you appreciate your cat(s) even more. I'm going to give my sweet fur babies a hug and a few kisses right now, except for Mimi, who still won't let me touch her.

I'm so glad to hear that your story had a happy ending. I'm such an animal lover, even hearing about animals I've never seen getting hurt or killed or abused brings tears to my eyes. Hope you and your kitty have a long and happy life together. LOL.

Aww poor kitty, at least he's alright. My cat A.B (Ankle Biter - may he rest in piece) had very good lives lol at one stage he lost his back leg to a cat trap and came home after a week of fear that he might had been hit by a car with his leg all mangled and he managed to make it home alive. His back leg had to be amputated though, but he was still fine with the other three, he could still run and climb fences.
